Bacchus, Alison - (Boys) 16 Black and (Girls) 14 Black |
| | | | | | | I graduated from Clayton Valley High School in 1997, where I played volleyball for 4 years. I played at DVC and at Utah Valley State as a middle blocker and opposite. I started coaching in 1999 for Diablo Valley VBC and then for East Bay Juniors. I also coached at Northgate High School for one year before I decided to go back to school to become a Medical Assistant. I finished my certificate program in June 2004. That is when I contacted Teresa to see if she had any room for another coach. I started coaching boys in August 2004 followed by a season with the girls Power League 14's. I have coached a variety of age groups throughout the years with Diablo, and have enjoyed all of them. I was able to take 2 teams to Junior Nationals, one in Salt Lake City Utah and the other was in Atlanta Georgia. Both were great experiences for me and my teams.
| | | | | | | | I married an amazing man named Aaron on May 16, 2009 (right in between Regionals for my girls season, and JO's for my boys). I have 2 wonderful step children, Kaelin and Tyler. I am currently working full time as a Medical Assistant for John Muir Physicians Network. I am very lucky to have a great family that supports my crazy busy schedule. | | | | | | | | My philosophy as a coach is continually changing as I continue to learn. I feel that volleyball is a sport that everyone can learn to play, and most people love to watch. I am very committed as a coach, to share all of the knowledge that has been shared with me throughout the years, with my players. I only ask that the players on my team commit to learning as much as possible while playing for Diablo. I have been blessed to have had so many great coaches throughout the years teach me so much, that it has increased my love of the game. My hope as a coach is that I am able to pass that along to those that play on my teams.
